next time won't you vote Kerry?
After my born again Republican mother picked up my 4 year old nephew from school yesterday, they went back home looking for something fun to do. Feeling teachy, the mom decided to introduce the young boy to the internet. She googled around until she found a cute little flash site with an animated figure singing the A B Cs.
"H I J K LMNOP" they sang along, laughing at the man dancing around the monitor. What a great time they had!
"Now I know my A B Cs!" the little man cheered. "Won't you..." sang my nephew. "...come and..." sang my mom.
"Suck my dick, mother fucker!" chanted the silly flash drawing as he taught my little nephew how to use the middle finger.
"Wrong one, grandma."

a family divided
"It's like choosing between the lesser of two evils," said my mother, mindlessly echoing the media rhetoric to me on the phone today. "For the first time in my life, I think I might vote Republican tomorrow. I'm not sure. God will tell me what to do."
I hung up on her.
